Liz Bryan Amick, MS, RYT

Liz began attending yoga classes in college and recognized immediately that yoga would be an important part of her life.  She has practiced and studied many forms of Hatha yoga including Bikram, Kundalini, Prenatal, Postnatal, Vinyasa, and Yin; and as she has grown from student to working woman to wife and mother, yoga has directly and positively influenced each stage of Liz's life.

Liz completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Iowa and went on to work as an academic advisor at the University of Kentucky, where she completed a Master of Science degree in Family Studies.  She completed her Yoga Teacher Certification at Eternal Health Yoga in 2008.  Liz loves teaching, practicing and living yoga; she especially enjoys introducing yoga to people who think that yoga "isn't for them" (friends and family included).  She lives in the Highlands with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Liam and Grady. Liz teaches Hatha Yoga at the Louisville studio Wednesdays, 9:15 - 10:30 AM.

Amy Carlson, BA, RYT

Amy began practicing yoga in 2001 while in college. After 8 years of practicing and learning, she decided to take it a step further and start on the path of teaching. She received her 200 hour teacher training certification at Eternal Health Yoga with Shelli Carpenter and has studied under other amazing yogis such as Doug Swenson and Anna Ferguson.

Amy enjoys learning and sharing truths learned on the mat which can be carried into daily life. Noting that, at first, the simplest concepts seem to apply only to the asana (posture) in which we find our bodies contorted. But then, some days later, a switch is flipped and more understanding is experienced. With the use of quirky, heartfelt (and ever changing) playlists, Amy hopes to inspire the heart, ease the mind, and help everyone find their tools of yoga that will help with healing and growth.

In addition to her yoga teacher certification, Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Wesleyan College. She is Reiki certified in the Usui Tradition. Amy teaches Tuesday mornings at the Louisville studio: Vinyasa 8:00 - 9:00 AM and Yin Yoga, 9:15 - 10:30 AM.
