Carrie began practicing yoga in 2003 after the birth of her first child. She had decided to try yoga as a gentle way to get her body back in shape, but after just one class she knew there was something much bigger to yoga. Every aspect of her life is in some way a reflection of her yoga practice; about her practice Carrie says, "I live and practice yoga because it makes me feel whole".
Carrie recently completed her teacher training with Shelli Carpenter at Eternal Health Yoga and is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She practices and teaches various forms of yoga, with a particular interest in Yin Yoga, which she enjoys sharing and facilitating because of its deep inward focus.
Joyfully, Carrie lives a vegan lifestyle, and passionately shares all things vegan on her cooking blog, The Happy Vegan Yogini, and in her column for, Examiner.com. She is married to her best friend, and is the mother of two beautiful daughters; they live in Indiana with their three fur babies.
